There was so much learn about the whales and what materials, finishes, shapes I could use in the design for this show. Every element had to be able to survive man made salt water which is one of the most corrosive substances. The animal trainers from the three theme parks were at my side the entire time we were creating this beautiful environment.
As you can see, NASAL did an amazing job with the engineering, construction, and finishes. One of my favorite moments was when we were loading in the set. One of the trainers asked "The sunset in the whale tail looks like an Claude Monet painting. Is it supposed to look like that?" She made my day.
